Sony Envisions Future of Mobility With its Vision S-02 Electric Concept Vehicle
Tuesday evening was a special occasion at the current CES 2022 for the tech giant, Sony. The Japanese conglomerate announced its second entry into the electric vehicle segment with its concept car Vision S-02; which follows its first version Vision S-01 that was launched last year.
During the launch at CES 2022, makers of this concept car emphasized on the features which include:
- high-sensitivity,
- high-resolution,
- wide dynamic range CMOS image sensors
- and LiDAR sensors that accurately sense three-dimensional space.
“Safety has been our No. 1 priority in creating a comfortable mobility experience. That has not changed when building this SUV. A total of 40 sensors are installed inside and outside of the vehicle to monitor safety.” says Kenichiro Yoshida, Chairman and CEO of Sony.
